Establishing a sanctuary on your property is the most bold and effective way Odonata can work with you to have a real tangible impact on reversing the extinction trajectory on threatened animals, immediately, while also determining potential carbon offsetting needs and opportunities.
The Odonata Academy sanctuary coaching program is the first step in the journey for landholders, providing participants, landholders or businesses, with the tools necessary to build a legacy and help save some of Australia’s most threatened species.
In this program, Odonata provides expertise and knowledge that guides participants on their journey, connecting them to other like-minded people and creating a network of impact minded individuals.

Are you interested in being part of our sanctuary network? Do you have a property that you would like to use to save threatened species? Fill out the form below to get in touch with us about joining the next Odonata Academy sanctuary coaching program.
After 12 months in the program, landholders will be able to submit their detailed sanctuary implementation plan to Odonata for assessment. If successful, they will progress to becoming a member of Odonata's sanctuary network, gaining access to Odonata’s sanctuaries and threatened species recovery programs.
By joining this program, you will have access to:
For businesses, the ultimate way to align with the benefits and values of nature and biodiversity is to sponsor and own a sanctuary, which is in turn managed by Odonata. With this opportunity your organisation can maximise brand position, product marketing, people and culture benefits and strategic advantages.
Further to these significant boosts to your organisation, you will be making a long term contribution and impact on threatened species, and will have exclusive access and ownership of this sanctuary, under the guidance of our expert biodiversity and threatened species teams. Your business may already have a suitable landholding with high biodiversity value, or we can help you procure an ideal site for a sanctuary that will link with our sanctuary network.
Businesses can also exclusively sponsor an existing sanctuary for 3-5 years.
By joining our network of sanctuaries, businesses and landholders are able to make a powerfully positive commitment and legacy. Work with us to determine the best pathway to ownership and the right management model where you can be as hands-on or off as you choose.
