From a modest starting group of 34 bandicoots just three years ago, the Odonata Foundation’s breeding program at Tiverton Sanctuary witnessed a population explosion to approximately 3,000 bandicoots by the end of 2023. This is the highest number since the program's inception, a clear indication of the positive impact of sustained conservation efforts.

This marks a significant step forward in the conservation of a species that was once on the brink of extinction.
